I don't feel that it has the "across the room" clarity I'm looking for. Method 1: In this method, the users will learn to download a Font from the internet and install and create a text with that specific Font in Inkscape.Next, select your object and convert it to a path using the ' Object to Path'.Inkscape: Bend a vector along a circular arc. I'll ask the obvious, why not use Photo VCarve with acrylic? Never had anyone complain when I put their photo on acrylic. Anybody have thoughts? As you can imagine this is more important to me than my typical CNC frustration. Locate your folder with your images then select the one you want to convert to a vector. I'm willing to pay for the work but just can't find anybody. Open Inkscape then go to the File menu at the top and click on Open. Of course, Photo VCarve is not appropriate for this application I need something that would otherwise be able to be carved with a v-bit in wood, and go from there. I've had Inkscape trace it and tried the same thing in and GIMP (admittedly though, I'm a rank amateur), but it just never gives me the result I need-a simple, minimalist line drawing. I've tried online converters that get it close but still not workable. I've tried half a dozen different artists on those platform. Either the drawing comes back not looking like the child in the photo, or it's gray-shaded. To save your project, perform the action, File > Save As, then name your file. In this forum everybody understands what that simple, vcarvable drawing looks like but I'm having no luck on Etsy or Fiverr getting it done right. My partner's son died and I want to etch a line drawing of his head from a childhood photo of him onto acrylic and edge light it for her birthday, but for the life of me I can't find anybody to draw it.
